The Laramie Pickleball Association (LPA) was begun in early 2017 -- in part because interest in playing pickleball at the city Recreation Center was increasing, in part because Laramie was hosting the 2017 Wyoming Senior Olympics and pickleball was a scheduled event. Since 2017, popularity in pickleball play has grown dramatically in Laramie; currently the LPA has over 80 members.
